Of course the settings in Berlin almost a century ago is exciting, but not to the point that I care about Rath having car troubles, going to the mechanic getting it fixed, etc. Jul 12, Vidar rated it liked it.

The police monitor the tension as the gangs of communist and SA youths battle, trying to keep order, and hoping they keep their aggressions confined and collateral damage minimal.

I really enjoyed Goldstein and found it to be much more focused than Silent Death. In fact the truth lies in another direction, with the shape not entirely clear until the final pages.
